Though ticketing rates are rising, speeding tickets are no longer the number one revenue raiser. Redlight tickets are. You need something that sees them before they see you, you need a system that doesn't issue false alarms, and one that recognizes new technology such as redlight cameras that do not emit radar (or other) signals.

The new standard is the world's only high deffinition radar detector: Passport Max by Escort. It's 50 tims faster, reduces natural background noise floor, increases signal clarity, range, and accuracy.

At CES, Escort announced the Passport Max Limited Edition detectors., availble for $599.95. The classic Passport Max Radar Detector lists at $549.95. Given the charges for a ticket, not to mention added court and insurance costs, the Passport Max pays for itself in a signle avoided ticket. Each Passport Max has a USB port to facilitate software and firmware upgrades. The hardware is done.

Announcing Escort LaserShifterPro. Upgradable, it legally blocks radar.

On a somewhat different theme, the MediaFlair will wirelessly stream and share data via a standard SD card. Rechargeable via USB, it will run up to 4 hours. $99.94 at Amazon or the Escort site.

Another related technology, the Escort LiveApp provides real-time information about threats and driving conditions.
