CUSH Protective Case Review

By George Harding

When you get an iPhone, it doesn't come with a lot of stuff.  One of the things it doesn't come with is a protective case. So if you drop your phone onto a hard surface, or bump it into a table corner, you may have permanently damaged the device.

CUSH gives you two layers of protection. The first is the outer rim guard. It is firm, but not hard and protects all edges of the iPhone. You have to stretch it a little bit to get it on, but once in place, it's there to stay.

The second is the CUSH pad. It fits snugly onto the back of the iPhone, inside the bumper. It is lightly padded to absorb bumps, but yet be "cushy." The material is quilted so that you have a comfortable grip on the phone, but yet resilient enough to provide protection.

The combination of bumper and CUSH pad are designed so as to provide access to all the buttons and ports. This said, I had a bit of difficulty accessing my phone's On/Off button on top. I don't use it to turn off the phone, but rather to turn the screen off, and I use it frequently.

The CUSH case may work quite well if you carry your phone in a shirt pocket or purse, but putting it into a belt case may be somewhat of a tight fit.

Both the bumper and the pad may be easily removed. The pad comes in several different pleasing designs.

CUSH case comes with a limited one year warranty, subject to return with proof of purchase.

The "User Guide" is pretty simple. It is a series of three diagrams showing how to attach the bumper and the CUSH  pad.
