Zoom Lenses

By Chuck Hajdu

Over the past few years we’ve done a number of lens comparison articles that we felt were very informative. Usually they involved similar lenses for a specific camera, like the Olympus and Pentax lens articles we did last year. Our next lens article will be somewhat different!

Recently we’ve been testing several lens mount adapters for the Olympus PEN series of Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Cameras (MILCs). These adapters allow us to use some of our oldest lenses. Actually, we can now use ALL of our old lenses in several lens mounts again on the latest digital cameras!

Our next comparison will be on telephoto zoom lenses in the 50-200mm-ish range. Some will have various levels of auto-focus and auto-zoom and some will be totally manual, depending on the adapter (if needed).

This will be a fun article to work on!!
