One
of the most upsetting bits of testimony we’ve heard from the murder
trial going on right now was the comment from a witness that she can’t
read cursive. That means that the public school system is even worse
than we thought. How on earth can anyone even get to middle school and
not be able to read and write in cursive?
There
are school systems around the country that are cutting cursive in favor
of “keyboarding”. They are teaching students to use computer keyboards
instead of learning the real basics. If this trend continues we will
have a whole new generation that cannot even read the Constitution or
Declaration of Independence because they were written in cursive!!
