iOS7 Announcement

As our regular readers know, we are big supporters of all operating system, iOS, Linux, even Win-doze, because we feel that competition makes everyone better. That said, we were a bit disappointed by the “big” announcement from the iFruit company annual love fest, the WWDC or World Wide Developers Conference.

iOS7 looks like a nice, incremental upgrade to iOS6, just like the pending upgrade to Win 8.0 to 8.1 is a nice update. It isn’t, however, earth shaking news. It doesn’t do much to restore iFruit mojo the way Steve Jobs always did, it’s just there.

What Apple needs the most today is charisma. They need to bring back that old spark before they become even more of a niche player. We wish them well. They're going to need it.
