I just read an interesting article that argued that the PC is dead. The author was trying to make the point that the iFruit company and their iProducts had totally defeated MSFT and the concept of the PC. Bull poopie!
The computer world continues to evolve every day and the shift from PC based computing to cloud based computing is just part of that evolution. It's not a revolution where one thing is defeated and another emerges as a victor, it's a gradual change in how we do things. The PC isn't dead but it's changing.
We may someday evolve into a world without PCs or tablets or smartphones but that's still far off in the future. For now I'm very happy with my PCs and I'm glad they're far from dead.
