comScore TabLens

This week we read an announcement that there is a new monthly survey being taken to track tablet computer sales. The survey is the comScore TabLens and it tracks 6,000 U.S. tablet owners on a 3 month rolling sample. We read through the first report and found some interesting statistics.

The first thing that jumped out at us is the age demographic. Men and women in the 25-34 age bracket are the biggest percentage of adopters of all kinds of consumer electronics and people 65 and over are the lowest percentage. It’s exactly why companies spend their advertising dollars aiming at th3 spenders, not the people who are more fiscally conservative.

It was nice to see someone do the research to prove what we have long suspected, people who buy iFruit products care more about the brand they are buying than others, They don’t care what works best or is really best for them, they just want iFruit, no mattere what it costs!

You can check them out at comscore.com.
